End of July Post Round Up

These two bits are a bit of old news. But, in case you haven't heard:

• Charles Simic succeeds Donald Hall as Poet Laureate

• Ruth Stone is named Vermont's State Poet

In other news-

• The Untouchables is 20 years old this year.

I had a hard time believing this-20 years???? Naw.... Others replied: 'Wasn't that the gangster movie with Kevin Spacey?'

• Guns 'N Roses Appetite For Destruction also turns 20 this year.

Somehow, I had less trouble comprehending the age of this. That was such a great album when it came out.....still is I suppose.
